You Deserve It All with Pinkfresh Studio

Hi friends!
I'm back with another video on You Tube and Instagram showing how I created this card. During the intro, I will also show you a card with a similar background but in shades of green. A pic of this is below.

It's funny, one day I just got the urge to swipe a full ink pad across some cardstock, and then ended up doing three shades, and I liked the results. What I forgot to mention in the video, is the splatters. After I had created those backgrounds, I then used some watered down white paint and gave them a good splatter. It did add an extra something, something actually so it was a good move.

I hope you enjoy the video, and the relaxing music that goes with it...relax with your favourite beverage and get inspired.

Love You Pretty with Pigment Craft Co.

Good morning crafty friends

I am sharing this very pinky card with you today. That incredible background was achieved using the Latte Heart Background Cover Plate by Pigment Craft Co. This company is Canadian! That is quite lovely for me because while I will always support any craft company the best way I can, it is nice not to have a long wait to receive an order and pay silly delivery prices, with the risk of import charges too. Pigment Craft Co. is new and my observation of their designs are elegant and sophisticated...just like me! Hahahahaha. Well, I like pretty, elegant designs when I create (with some cutesy thrown in), and I enjoy using PCC goodies, so it's a win/win!

I have downloaded a video on my You Tube channel, downloaded an IGTV video and created a reel on my Instagram! Phew! I don't have time to do all three all of the time each time I create a card, but I wanted to give Pigment Craft Co. a big shout out to show my support.

Below there is the link to my You Tube video, but also pics of two other cards I created using the same background cover plate. Hopefully they demonstrate its versatility as a stash staple!

Joyful Bouquet with Pinkfresh Studio

Hi friends!

I posted this card all the wrong way around. What I mean by that is, I posted it on Instagram, but then realized I had also filmed myself making it for my You Tube channel! So, I look like I am double posting, not really my intentions, but probably gives an insight into my brain crazy 😂

Today's You Tube video and chat is all about this card that I created for a dear colleague who is retiring this month. I had to get it made and get it out to the team so it could get signed. I think 'my flow' was out of whack which may be why I feel a bit out of sink. Hey, least I have it up on my channel now.

I have to say, I am pretty proud of it and how it turned out. Though to be fare, Pinkfresh Studio have brilliant products, so its not that hard to create with them!

The link to my YT video is below...I hope you enjoy it.

Pinkfresh Studio August Challenge-Grateful for You

 Hi crafty friends!

Pinkfresh Studio do regular monthly challenges and I had made up my mind that I would do the challenge this month, and maybe even again next month! Anyways, the challenge was stripes. It just so happened that I receive the newly released papers by Pinkfresh Studio called The Best Day. In the pack were some stripes with a bold, but also autumnal flavour.
This card will be for my husband on our anniversary next month. I felt that boldness and the blue with the gold, helped make it more unisex despite it being floral. I just loved the sentiment and felt that I designed the card around it. The sentiment is also by Pinkfresh Studio.
There was a bit of hot foiling, ephemera, stamping and bling for this one. I also download it to the challenge.
If you check out my Instagram you will also see the little movie I created which also includes how I made the envelope with Pinkfresh's mini slimline envelope die.

I have lots coming up and a special surprise I will be thrilled about sharing with you all very soon...EeeeeeK!

Gnome Family - And Then There Were 6!

 Hi friends!
Another quick post as I wanted to just share at the latest Fall gnome addition to the gnome family 😂
Leanne West is incredibly talented and she creates these gnomes, which are just one of many creations. Her Instagram handle to see what she creates on Instagram is @gnomes_and_rainbows_co
She sells them on Etsy under the same name should you want to purchase one. You have to be quick though as they sell out in minutes!

Anyway, here's the 6 I have collected so far. They make me smile and the quality of Leanne's work in amazing!

Frog Love with Simon Says Stamp

Hi crafty friends
I hope you have been enjoying the summer in your part of the world?
We have had a long hot one here in Calgary, but unfortunately the fires from BC, and the odd one from Alberta really did impact the air quality. Its such a shame that to get a hot summer, the west coast of Canada has to endure the negative impacts. Not to mention the poor farmers who are trying to make a living. When there's no rain, everyone suffer including our beloved animals.
Well this card is one of my favourite designs ever!
Absolutely adorable illustrations and the stamp set is called Toadally Unforgetable by Simon Says Stamp. I used a technique called masking for this one. I had the notion I wanted the toads to be sitting on one another's heads, and this was the result. Great idea for a slimline card too actually. I do have a video on You Tube that shows the masking technique should you be interested to see how it's done. In fact, I think that card was a toad on a toadstool!! Theres some more images below if you scroll down....
What ever you are doing today, I hope it makes you smile...

You're A Hoot with Gina K Designs

 Hi crafty friends!

I am back again with another video on You Tube.

I feel like that seems to be all I am posting lately, but I am spending a lot of free time trying to learn video editing and making sure my designs are optimal for social media. I am a bit of a perfectionist, so it s kind of time consuming to me. I am all self taught. I remember the days when I could only type on my PC with one finger, and here I am designing cards, blogging, video editing and graphic designing! Phew!

I hope you enjoy the video and the card. I do my 'meet & greet' at the beginning which I am trialling to see if its a popular way to go.

I really appreciate your company and appreciate it when you follow and subscribe. It makes all the effort so worth it.💗 Below is the link to my You Tube latest video...Enjoy!

Hill Blossoms with Altenew

Hi crafty friends...
How are you all doing out there?
I created a card that I wanted to share with you that demonstrates using the Hill Blossoms stencils by Altenew. I wanted to create something monochromatic, but that was just the mood i was in that day. I also didn't want the usual green here is what I came up with.
I have a new video up on my You Tube channel at Linkcrafty Cards, so just click the link below and relax and enjoy:)

Spellbinders Kit Creations

Hi guys

I signed up for regular monthly Spellbinders kits and above are some examples of the cards I have created using the kits over June. July's kits are on their way, but because I live in Canada it take a while, by which time social media has been alight with the new creations and then the tumbleweed has set in when I start posting 😂

They are great value for money though and from what I can see in July, the envelope die is fabulous!

I think the Happy Birthday Glimmer die shown above will be a staple for me. I think it will be really helpful for male cards, as they can sometimes be tricky.

Some exciting things are ahead in the crafting world, so whatever you create, enjoy every minute 💗

Pinkfresh Studio Slimline Beauty

Hi friends!
Today, I wanted to share a couple of slimline cards that I created recently. I have been doing a few mini slimlines lately and loved the concept of the matching envelopes. Therefore, I ordered the larger slimline envelope die by Pinkfresh Studio.
I think peeps would have worked out by now that I love my florals, and that I have also loved my floral washi tapes by Pinkfresh Studio.
Pinkfresh Studio also make some beautiful papers in 6x6 and 12x12. Recently, I built up a little stash of PF papers and decided to use it with these cards. The pink one above was a first trial using a block backdrop, then adding some washi tape accent, finishing with a gold hot plate sentiment.

The green slimline card above was based on the pink concept. This card was especially created for a lovely friend who had an extra special birthday last week. I know she loves flowers and would love these colours.
I really enjoyed making these and I think I may start doing some reels just highlighting the card and the envelope. We will see...Reels intimidate me for some reason 😂
I hope you have a wonderful week guys...Its a heat wave in Calgary this week, so sleeping in the basement is in our future I think!

Hero Arts Blossom Die

Hello again!
So I am sharing these two cards that I created with the Blossom Die from Hero Arts. I saw a few cards in social media using this die and I loved how intricate it was which gave fantastic results!
I used pink as a base colour (obviously) then worked around this for the designs.
The card below uses a background stamp which I stamped in a darker grey. I also repeated this on a grey envelope.

The card below uses more white, but I blended some ink as a backdrop. When gluing the die cuts, I offset the black cardstock to create a 3D effect.
As I used all Simon Says Stamp products with this die, I added some stamping to the pink envelope with a stamp from my Simon stash called Wildflowers to compliment the card design.

Hope these cards get you inspired to try a few different techniques with what you have in your stash!
Take care peeps💗

Spellbinders Small Die of the Month-April

Hi friends!

As I noted on Instagram, I am afraid I will always be late posting a card I have created with any Spellbinders Kit of the Month. Postage can take a wee while from the US to Canada, but during these Covid times, snail mail can be ridiculously long!

These cards were created using the Small Die of the Month for April. In my younger days I used to be avid machine sewer, dressmaking/curtains etc, but I did dab in a bit of embroidery too.

This die was kind of unique and I thought it would be really handy to die cut four, glue two together to ensure a solid canvas, and embroider them while glamping. Yes, glamping, not camping. I tried that a few times and I can not bear the thought of crawling out of a tent on my hands and knees now I am over 50!

I popped in to Michaels to get specific embroidery cotton colours for these. If you buy bulk packs you can get tons of colours, but I know I would never use half of them. I like pretty and soft colour combos usually, so these cards were my choices.

My thoughts on making these cards were, 'wow, the recipient must be well worth saying thanks to for the work put into these' 😂

One thing though, it was great therapy and in the end I really quite enjoyed the experience, especially while enjoying a glass of Prosecco!

Watch out, because a framed embroidery die was released, so I may try my hand at those too.

Take care and bye for now

Pinkfresh Studio Washi Tape Mini Slimline Cards & Envelopes

Good morning crafty friends!

A couple of months ago I was fortunate enough to win the whole months release from Pinkfresh Studio. It included all the new washi tapes, matching stamp set and matching dies. You will recall I made a point of promoting the washi's as a way of gratitude of my winnings. Well, last week I was fortunate again to be a guest designer for Pinkfresh studio in an Instagram hop, which I spoke about in my previous post.

English Garden

Today, I wanted to share the combination of these winnings and the new slimline envelope dies that were being released. I was curious to know how the washi tapes would turned out if I used them with the mini slimline envelope die. Well, they turned out pretty cool actually!

Indigo Vines

The mini slimline envelope die is the perfect size for one full strip of any given patter (if you know what I mean?). I love thick cardstock and I die cut the from panel of the envelope die with my 120lb white. But, as the crease for the back flaps was quite slim, I decided to cut the extra pieces in 80 lb white cardstock, this worked a treat! Its pretty on the other side of the envelope as when sealed, the white contrasts with the top and bottoom of the flaps and the washi florals. As the washi is quite shiny, using pen to address the envelope could be tricky. I have address stickers, which is what I would use if I was going to post the cards.

Anemone Magic

I love many uses out of my supplies and I like to share different ways you could use items.

I hope I have inspired you!
