Pinkfresh Studio Painted Peony Mix

Hi again!...Are you ready for the final two cards I designed with my winnings from Pinkfresh Studio?

Well here they are! These two designs were created using the Painted Peony Mix washi tape and matching die set by Pinkfresh Studio

Again, I am doing a combo of a slimline card and a regular card size to demonstrate its versatility.

Card # 9 is a slimline, adorned with a central washi wreath, and a gold sentiment using the Celebrate Hot Plate, also by Pinkfresh Studio.

I really wanted to pull out the pink on this design, so I matted the finished card front on to some dark pink cardstock. You may notice that I also added a bit of pink ink blending at the back of the wreath, just to give it that extra something, something.

So, here is my final card #10, not FINAL, but final in this set of 10 I created as a thank you to Pinkfresh Studio, but also as a collection of ways to demonstrate how wonderful these washi tapes truly are.

This last card has lots of shiny gold cardstock on it, and can I say....what a b... to photograph without shine!

I'm no photographer, so I am sure there is a way of doing it, but this card is one of those that is better in person...I may even do a reel showing it actually!

You will see, again I utilized the Simply Diamonds background die in glorious gold. then added a great big gold sentiment. The washi had a large bunch of peonies which I die cut and placed on the top of the gold, just to break it up a little.

Well, I hope I have done justice to these washi tapes and you can see the different colours in each one and see ways in how to use them?
Of course, you may be able to afford all of them, but one set and the matching die may be worth the investment for you. Either way, i hope you are inspired to at least get in your crafting space and make something beautiful 🌸

Pinkfresh Studio Indigo Vines

Hi friends...

Oh how I love this Indigo Vines washi tape by Pinkfresh Studio!...Definately my personal favourite!

I love the blue tone against white and the non fussy way it looks. Its crisp and clean and beautiful!

This first slimline card is # 7 of 10 cards that I have been sharing on social media and my blog that I created because I was the super lucky winner of the full March release by Pinkfresh Studio. It included all the new washi's, stamps and matching dies...pinch me!

For both cards today, I kept the blue and white theme. I also utilized the really versatile Simply Diamonds background die again. Keeping the trellis theme, gold and blue. I wanted to show a slimline and a regular card size to show you how you can make any size card if you feel like it.

Both above and below you will see the sentiments have been die cut out of shiny gold cardstock and matted onto white. This really helps the sentiments pop. My design above has a central sentiment but does not take anything away from the beautiful washi wreath.

The #8 card design below, uses the sentiment completely as the main focal point. I used the smaller clusters of die cut washi, to then frame this.

I love dimension, and I believe it takes the quality of the final design up a notch. I die cut the Simply Diamonds die a few times to achieve this on both cards and also added some padded dots (thingys, whatever you call them πŸ˜‚) to the back of the washi florals. and the sentiment.

I hope my cards continue to inspire you and that they brighten your day if just for a little while πŸ’—

Pinkfresh Studio Joyful Bouquet

Good morning crafty friends!
I am here again today to share two more cards created using the beautiful washi tapes recently released by Pinkfresh Studios.
This is card design #5. Today's spotlight is on the Joyful Bouquet washi tape and what a beauty this is.
The washi has some sprigs of florals but it also has this main bouquet which I used as the focal image for my card. I added some gold thread to give the impression of a hand tied bouquet.
when I created this card I had not received my new hot plate sentiments, so I used one from Spellbinders.
Can I draw your attention to the background on this design. This was not achieved by an embossing folder, but by embossing the Simply Diamonds background die also by Pinkfresh Studios.
Thats one thing I love about some die, you can achieve the embossed effect too!

Continuing my use of the Joyful Bouquet, my next card #6 uses other parts of the die cut washi tape. My design also uses the Frame Builder Botanical Circle Die also by Pinkfresh Studio.

For this background I found some paper from my stash and really build my colours and design around this. I die cut the circle die from white and complimentary cardstock to add some extra dimension.

The sentiment is a simple one and die cut from shiny gold cardstock, which is ana alternative if you do not have a hot foil machine.

I hope I have inspired you again today....go ahead, give it a go and feel free to copy I don't mind!
Theres still 4 more cards to come with the washi tapes, so come back to see me very soon!

Pinkfresh Studio Anemone Magic

Good morning friends!

Let me share some Anemone Magic washi tape with you by Pinkfresh Studio!

So, I tried something a bit different with these two cards. Card # 3 (out of 10) above and below was created using navy cardstock as the backing for the washi tape instead of white cardstock. I wanted to see how bold it would be. I think it is really bold and quite striking actually

You will see the next card is on white cardstock, and I think there is quite a difference, don't you?

Card #4 below is another slimline card with some added gold accents. I used just one part of the washi tape here as I wanted to create a 'less busy' cleaner cut design.

I hope as I present my designs to you, they inspire you to create something that makes you feel good. I love this incredible washi tape, and as I said in my last post, I really think it would be a great addition in your stash especially if you want to create something that doesn't need you to be great at colouring in images.

Well, whatever you do today I hope it brings you joy.

Take care!

Pinkfresh Studio English Garden

Hi all

I was absolutely blown away at winning the whole March release from Pinkfresh Studios!

This release comprised of 5 different wide washi tapes and each washi tape had a matching stamp set and matching die set. How amazing is that?!

Well, I wanted to make some cards as soon as possible, but the package took a week while to get to Canada, with supply issues that is plaguing the world right now.

Anyway, over the last couple of weekends I have been a busy bee and I hope I do these beautiful washi tape and stamp goodies justice.

One thing I can say is the washi tapes are stunning, and so easy to use. You lay the washi across your favourite cardstock, then die cut. Easy peasy! Then all you have to do is design your card. There's no colouring in with mediums, so if colouring is not something you feel confident with-these washi tapes will be an answer to your dreams.

In total, I have created 10 cards with my winnings. I have created two card designs from each washi/stamp & die set. I plan to make five posts and each post will showcase one of the five sets, sharing the two cards I have designed from each set.

The first washi set I want to show you of course is, English Garden
I say this because I am English! All I could think of was flowers growing up a trellis, which is so common over in the UK. Flowers grow so well, which I miss very much living in Calgary.

This set has a wreath design to it and as you can see I used this to centralize my design. In one die cut I was able to get the added florals and the butterfly to help add that extra dimension. Also, by the time I had made this card, I had received my first order of Pinkfresh's newest additions, the hot plates. I used the Best Wishes hot plate for the sentiment here.

Below is the second card using this set. You will see I decided to emphasize the green instead. Same concept of trellis work, but with a different wreath set up.

You will see the sentiment, this is a hot glimmer sentiment by Spellbinders that I had in my stash. I usually like to use all the same companies in my designs, but hot plates are a new thing for PF and I am so excited about them because they make the perfect addition to Pinkfresh's line of products.

Well, I hope I have inspired you? πŸ˜ƒ

Remember to come back and check my other designs because there are some slimline cards coming too!

Take care for now....
