Pinkfresh Studio Slimline Beauty

Hi friends!
Today, I wanted to share a couple of slimline cards that I created recently. I have been doing a few mini slimlines lately and loved the concept of the matching envelopes. Therefore, I ordered the larger slimline envelope die by Pinkfresh Studio.
I think peeps would have worked out by now that I love my florals, and that I have also loved my floral washi tapes by Pinkfresh Studio.
Pinkfresh Studio also make some beautiful papers in 6x6 and 12x12. Recently, I built up a little stash of PF papers and decided to use it with these cards. The pink one above was a first trial using a block backdrop, then adding some washi tape accent, finishing with a gold hot plate sentiment.

The green slimline card above was based on the pink concept. This card was especially created for a lovely friend who had an extra special birthday last week. I know she loves flowers and would love these colours.
I really enjoyed making these and I think I may start doing some reels just highlighting the card and the envelope. We will see...Reels intimidate me for some reason 😂
I hope you have a wonderful week guys...Its a heat wave in Calgary this week, so sleeping in the basement is in our future I think!

Hero Arts Blossom Die

Hello again!
So I am sharing these two cards that I created with the Blossom Die from Hero Arts. I saw a few cards in social media using this die and I loved how intricate it was which gave fantastic results!
I used pink as a base colour (obviously) then worked around this for the designs.
The card below uses a background stamp which I stamped in a darker grey. I also repeated this on a grey envelope.

The card below uses more white, but I blended some ink as a backdrop. When gluing the die cuts, I offset the black cardstock to create a 3D effect.
As I used all Simon Says Stamp products with this die, I added some stamping to the pink envelope with a stamp from my Simon stash called Wildflowers to compliment the card design.

Hope these cards get you inspired to try a few different techniques with what you have in your stash!
Take care peeps💗

Spellbinders Small Die of the Month-April

Hi friends!

As I noted on Instagram, I am afraid I will always be late posting a card I have created with any Spellbinders Kit of the Month. Postage can take a wee while from the US to Canada, but during these Covid times, snail mail can be ridiculously long!

These cards were created using the Small Die of the Month for April. In my younger days I used to be avid machine sewer, dressmaking/curtains etc, but I did dab in a bit of embroidery too.

This die was kind of unique and I thought it would be really handy to die cut four, glue two together to ensure a solid canvas, and embroider them while glamping. Yes, glamping, not camping. I tried that a few times and I can not bear the thought of crawling out of a tent on my hands and knees now I am over 50!

I popped in to Michaels to get specific embroidery cotton colours for these. If you buy bulk packs you can get tons of colours, but I know I would never use half of them. I like pretty and soft colour combos usually, so these cards were my choices.

My thoughts on making these cards were, 'wow, the recipient must be well worth saying thanks to for the work put into these' 😂

One thing though, it was great therapy and in the end I really quite enjoyed the experience, especially while enjoying a glass of Prosecco!

Watch out, because a framed embroidery die was released, so I may try my hand at those too.

Take care and bye for now

Pinkfresh Studio Washi Tape Mini Slimline Cards & Envelopes

Good morning crafty friends!

A couple of months ago I was fortunate enough to win the whole months release from Pinkfresh Studio. It included all the new washi tapes, matching stamp set and matching dies. You will recall I made a point of promoting the washi's as a way of gratitude of my winnings. Well, last week I was fortunate again to be a guest designer for Pinkfresh studio in an Instagram hop, which I spoke about in my previous post.

English Garden

Today, I wanted to share the combination of these winnings and the new slimline envelope dies that were being released. I was curious to know how the washi tapes would turned out if I used them with the mini slimline envelope die. Well, they turned out pretty cool actually!

Indigo Vines

The mini slimline envelope die is the perfect size for one full strip of any given patter (if you know what I mean?). I love thick cardstock and I die cut the from panel of the envelope die with my 120lb white. But, as the crease for the back flaps was quite slim, I decided to cut the extra pieces in 80 lb white cardstock, this worked a treat! Its pretty on the other side of the envelope as when sealed, the white contrasts with the top and bottoom of the flaps and the washi florals. As the washi is quite shiny, using pen to address the envelope could be tricky. I have address stickers, which is what I would use if I was going to post the cards.

I love many uses out of my supplies and I like to share different ways you could use items.

I hope I have inspired you!
